SLE patients since 1994.
From squatting in a doctor’s office in Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1994, PSLEM today operates from its own Secretariat in Jalan Utara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Our Impact
As the main association for SLE patients in Malaysia,
our aim is to increase the level of awareness
and health literacy around SLE in Malaysia,
provide psychosocial support,
as well as financial assistance to those who need it most.
Our Mission
Under this vision, our programmes include the following activities:

​​Create a community that supports SLE patients.

Provide social and psychological support to SLE patients and their families through our nationwide Share & Care Programme.

Promote the understanding of SLE among patients, their families and the community at large.

To support and promote awareness regarding causes, prevention, research programmes and available aids to manage SLE.

Provide financial aid for healthcare services related to SLE.

Persatuan SLE Malaysia’s Governance
Persatuan SLE Malaysia’s Executive Committee comprises elected SLE patients, family members and friends, and medical professionals who volunteer their time and expertise. Additionally, PSLEM also has State Representatives in Johor, Melaka, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Sabah, Sarawak, and Terengganu.

In accordance with our Constitution, Exco Members are elected every two years to plan and carry out PSLEM’s public awareness, patient welfare, and fund-raising programmes.
