2:30 p.m. Dyeing your Hair with Henna

Chemical hair dye causes SLE patient Lily to erupt into rashes, henna doesn’t. Lily will demonstrate how to add olive oil to henna to soften the hair (henna causes dry hair) and how to add tea or coffee to get the hair colour you like.
3:00 p.m. Making Liquid Enzyme from Organic Waste
Cheah Geik Kim

For some SLE patients, chemical detergents can cause an allergic reaction. SLE patient Geik Kim will demonstrate how to make liquid enzyme and give tips on how you can use it to wash your clothes and dishes, and mop the floor … without any chemical detergent.
3:30 p.m. How to Avoid the Sun & Look Fashionable
May Yap

You think carrying an umbrella is very “aunty”-ish? SLE patient May and her line dancing team will model a collection of beautiful hats that can help to shade SLE patients from the sun. After that they will present a line dance number … and all of us can join in to get our blood circulation going!
4:00 p.m. Why Organic Vegetables are Better
Go Green Organic Sdn Bhd

PSLEM is going green!
Instead of providing our usual disposable foam plates and cups, we encourage you to bring your own re-usable food and drink containers for your refreshments. However, we will continue to provide disposable
plastic forks and spoons for your convenience. This is part of PSLEM’s efforts to to reduce the use of non-biodegradable products. Thank you.
